KD LOVES HER BULLDOGS

CONGRATULATIONS to our #1 Bulldogs! We could not be more proud of Dan Mullen and our football team for giving relentless effort and coming out on top of the AP and Coaches Poll for the very first time in MSU history!

It is an incredible time to be a part of the Bulldog family.

HA1L STATE

1st ANNUAL SHAMROCK CLASSIC

For the very first time, the Mississippi State chapter of Kappa Delta hosted a golf tournament benefiting the Prevent Child Abuse America- Mississippi chapter.

It was so exciting to have had so much support and such an incredible turnout! We are so thankful for all of the golfers, sponsors, and volunteers that helped us make this a success!

Silly Skating with the Girl Scouts

One of the most rewarding opportunities Kappa Delta offers its members is the chance to meet and mentor local Girl Scouts.

This semester, we hosted a "Silly Skates with the Girl Scouts" event at the local skating rink to give our members the chance to hangout and build relationships with the girls. As young adults and teenagers, we understand the issues and insecurities young girls face and love having the opportunity to encourage young girls to love themselves and to be honorable, beautiful and highest.

International Friendship Month

"Female friendships that work are relationships in which women help each other belong to themselves."
- Louise Bernikow

To help us celebrate International Friendship month, our friends at Chi Omega hosted an ice cream social! We know the importance of strong friendships and the incredible impact they make on our lives and were so happy to spend the afternoon celebrating that with them!

Thank you to all of the ladies at Chi Omega for hosting such a fun event for us!

KAPPA DOMINATION

So far this semester, KayDee has been working hard to support others' philanthropy events. With all of our hard work and dedication, we are pleased to announce that we are the 2014 Watermelon Fest AND Limelight Champions!

SPIRIT WEEK 2014 Video

Follow this link to view our Spirit Week 2014 video!

RECRUITMENT WEEK

Recruitment week is nearly upon us. We couldn't be more excited! We cannot wait to meet all of the young women going through recruitment this year!

Everyone at KayDee knows first hand how stressful this upcoming week can be, so here are a few of our tips for surviving the most exciting week of the school year!

Tip 1: Get some sleep
It's easy to stay up late thinking about all of the amazing houses you visited that day and how yummy all of the snacks were, but if you don't get enough sleep, you'll be dragging by day 2!

Tip 2: Be yourself
All of the sorority women on the other side of recruitment genuinely want to get to know you. Being yourself will help you make some genuine connections with people and could be the start of a life long friendship.

Tip 3: Don't freak out about a bad hair day
We have ALL been through recruitment week and understand how hectic this week can be. From thunderstorms to sweltering heat, it's hard to keep those locks under control! No need to fear though, every sorority woman is struggling with their hair too!

Tip 4: HAVE FUN
Recruitment week is one of your first "real" college experiences, so enjoy every minute of it! Before you know it the week will be over and you'll be running to your new sisters!

From everyone at the Delta Omega of Kappa Delta, we wish you a wonderful recruitment week!

SPIRIT WEEK FALL 2014

It's almost here, the week we have all been waiting for, RECRUITMENT week!

But before recruitment week can begin and we can start meeting all of the lovely women going through recruitment this year, we must prepare! What better way to start off the new school year than a whole week of reunions and rehearsals?

This year our recruitment chair, Anna Lauren, and the rest of our executive council have been working hard to surprise us with various sisterhood events like KD snow-cones and Kappa Delta bowling night.

BACK PORCH WORSHIP

Back Porch Worship- an incredible night for young women all across Mississippi State's campus to come together and worship our incredible God.

As MSU Kappa Deltas, we are always proud to talk about our faith and trust in the Lord. We were honored to have Brian Sorgenfrei speak to us and remind us of the enormous love the Lord has for us.

We would also like to say a special thank you to our Chaplain, Mackenzie Hemphill, for all of the hard work she put into this special night. We had an incredible turnout and it would not have been possible without the immense amount of work she put in to plan and schedule this for us.

We hope to see you at next years back porch worship!

GREEK PREVIEW

It's that time of year again..
[that's right] RUSH is just around the corner!!

We couldn't be more excited to meet all of the girls coming through this upcoming fall! There are few things more exhilarating than the feeling you get when you know someone in the room may be a new member of your KayDee family!

Our freshman pledge class was shining when they met and talked to the girls visiting our house for Greek Preview Day. All of our upperclassmen were so impressed; it confirmed, once again, that we were blessed with the best pledge class of the 2013-2014 season.

Greek Preview Day gave our newest pledge class a taste of what rush will be like in the fall, and sparked every chapter members' excitement for rush.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students, we can't wait to meet you in the fall! HAIL STATE AND GO KD!

MARCH 31st GIRL SCOUT EVENT

This past Sunday we hosted local Girl Scouts
for our "Bully doesn't Bully" event.

Many of our road runners and Maroon VIP leaders led campus tours while our remaining members conducted a sharing activity to teach different ways to prevent bullying.

We had a blast spending the afternoon with local Girl Scouts and teaching about the importance of bullying prevention!
